Head Of Lower Primary: Miss Judy Lim

Miss Judy Lim is the head of Lower Primary. She is committed to delivering and teaching an enriched curriculum for our pre-primary and lower primary students. Heading the department of lower primary, she holds the firm belief that the young child is most impressionable at this tender age. Hence, the classroom defocuses on graded labels of Kindergarten 1, Kindergarten 2, Primary 1, 2 or 3. Instead, the ability level of the child is taken into account and the curriculum streamlines to provide breadth of skill acquisition and depth of knowledge application.

She does not believe in "worksheets" as "work" in the mind already means a tedious, prescriptive approach to finish the "sheets" of paper. In contrast, she provides tools for the young ones to enjoy the process of skill acquisition and implements to stimulate their minds. Her lesson direction for lower primary English, Math and Preparatory Science include many spontaneous sharing experiences and links to everyday situations to prompt understanding and thinking.

A graduate in engineering science, Miss Judy worked as a trained engineer in a large local engineering firm and did a mid-career switch to education. She has never looked back and now, two decades into teaching and nurturing young children, she brings with her great analytical aptitude, attention to detail, patience and passion into the classroom. Miss Judy attributes her structured, logical and technical inclination to her engineering background and communicates to all her students that a solid structural foundation from a young age is the base for all great things!

As the executive producer of this production at the Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel, the cast boasts award winning actress Yeo Yann Yann. Miss Wendy Yang is the head of Primary Math. She has close to two decades of experience in teaching primary and secondary math. As a graduate with a double major in Economics and Math as well as a minor in Statistics, Miss Wendy is passionate about math and econometrics.

She advocates that the simplicity of math comes about with an age-old formula: logic for understanding and pen-and-paper practice to attain speed and accuracy. Miss Wendy teaches math with creative presentation and uses both clear and concise methods. In all her classes, she pairs her impactful math methodology with precision.

Once her students attain their "Eureka!" moment, she builds on their math mastery with her original and challenging questions that stretches the brain muscles to the maximum. Her math students love the way she brings numeracy out of everyday situations and make solving the most seemingly impossible math questions a breeze.

Miss Wendy's dynamic personality makes her a favourite among her students and when the students learn to grow an interest for math and fathom how logical it can be, it inspires them to grow that same passion for math.

Miss Vivian provides a good environment to learn Science concepts and specific Science language in Scholar's Inc. by developing weekly hands-on experiments. These experiments involve the student in learning science and is strategic in tackling many science questions from school that are experiment-based.

These games are team-based and provide a scientific twist on well-known game shows.
